SPCA Dog Quarantine Complex, Canterbury

One of the notable projects recently completed is a building wing constructed for the Royal New Zealand SPCA in Canterbury.  A TV One News reporter did a feature on the new wing of the SPCA. In it it discussed the reason for the wing and how it is already helping the requirements of treating animals from both North and South Island and can be viewed below.

This new wing of the SPCA was designed for the quarantine of dogs and cats that have been mistreated and who need desperate or critical care. It was designed to create a safe space for each animal to recover from the turmoil they may have undergone. From the dark room upon entering the quarantine complex they are examined by loving carers, treated and then given a kennel where there are external or internal areas to sleep and relax. They are supplied with bedding and the entire complex is heated in the cooler months and kept fresh and cool in the warmer much-desired summer temperatures.

There were some trades that assisted with this construction who were amazing to deal. All SPCA staff were accommodating during the entire construction. CMT Group was responsible for the entire construction, from earthworks, drainage, groundwork, foundations through to the construction and finishing.
